Zohr Field
Port Said, offshore Mediterranean, Port Said, EG
Located roughly 190 km off Port Said in deep Mediterranean waters, Zohr is a supergiant gas field that Eni discovered in 2015 and brought into production just over two years later, in December 2017. In-place resources are estimated at more than 30 trillion cubic feet, making it the largest gas find ever recorded in the Mediterranean and a project credited with helping turn Egypt from a gas importer into a net exporter. Eni operates the field under the Shorouk Block concession alongside partners Rosneft and BP.
