Upper Zakum

Upper Zakum lies in shallow Gulf waters about 84 km northwest of Abu Dhabi, spanning some 1,200 square kilometres. Jointly developed by ADNOC and international partners, it ranks among the largest offshore oil fields on Earth and has been the focus of a long-running expansion program using artificial islands and extended-reach wells to lift capacity. Output has been progressively raised toward a targeted 1 million barrels per day, making it a cornerstone of ADNOC's offshore production.
