Nova
Norseman, Goldfields WA, AU
Nova is a nickel-copper-cobalt mine in the Fraser Range, about 160 kilometres northeast of Norseman in Western Australia's Goldfields, wholly owned by IGO Limited. Discovered in 2012, the underground operation reached commercial production in 2017 and quickly achieved full nameplate output, making it one of the more notable nickel finds of the past decade. As the orebody nears the end of its mine life, its processing infrastructure is set to be repurposed for further critical-minerals production in the same region.
