Gruyere is a large open-pit gold mine about 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia's Goldfields, discovered by Gold Road Resources in 2013 and brought fully under Gold Fields' ownership in 2025 after it acquired its former joint-venture partner. Once ranked among Australia's largest undeveloped gold deposits, the mine has produced upward of 300,000 ounces a year since starting in 2019, from a single pit expected to reach around 500 metres deep, among the deepest open-cut mines in the country.
