CoalResidential7/7

Curragh is a large-scale metallurgical coal operation in the Bowen Basin, roughly 30 kilometres north of Blackwater in central Queensland. Run by Coronado Global Resources since it acquired the site in 2017, the mine combines established open-cut pits with the newer Mammoth Underground project, Curragh's first underground mining venture, which taps into some of the region's largest coking coal reserves. Coal moves by rail to the Port of Gladstone for export, with a portion also feeding the nearby Stanwell Power Station.
