Coral South FLNG
Palma, offshore Cabo Delgado, Rovuma Basin, MZ
Anchored in deep water off Mozambique's Cabo Delgado coast in the Rovuma Basin, Coral Sul FLNG is a floating liquefaction vessel that converts subsea gas directly into LNG without any onshore plant or pipeline. Built to process around 3.6 million tonnes of LNG a year from six subsea wells, it was only the third floating LNG facility ever built and the first for the African continent. Its first cargo in late 2022 marked Mozambique's debut as an LNG-exporting country, and the unit passed its 100th cargo milestone in 2025.
