Christmas Creek is one of Fortescue's flagship iron ore operations, part of the Chichester Hub in the Pilbara region near Newman, Western Australia. Producing since 2009, the mine is designed to handle around 50 million tonnes of ore a year and has consistently run close to full capacity, shipping nearly 49 million tonnes in 2023. It forms a key link in Fortescue's integrated Pilbara rail and port network that feeds global steel markets.
