Zinc LeadFifo8/62/1

Cannington is an underground silver, lead and zinc mine in outback North West Queensland, around 200 km southeast of Mount Isa, operated by South32. Developed by BHP in the 1990s and transferred to South32 in 2014, it grew into one of the world's biggest and most cost-efficient producers of silver and lead, at one point supplying metal used for Olympic medals. A fly-in fly-out workforce runs the operation, supported by an onsite solar farm that offsets part of its power needs.
