Cadia Valley Operations
Orange, Central West, NSW, AU
Cadia Valley Operations, about 25 kilometres from Orange in the Central West of New South Wales, is one of Australia's largest combined gold and copper mining complexes. Owned by Newmont, mining at the site dates back to 1998 and now centres on the Cadia East underground mine, which has used large-scale panel caving since reaching commercial production in 2013. A molybdenum circuit adds a further product stream, and reserves support an extended mine life well into the future.
