Beverley Four Mile
Beverley, Far North SA, AU
Beverley and the adjoining Four Mile deposit are uranium operations in the Frome Basin of South Australia's far north, about 550 km north of Adelaide, run by Heathgate Resources using in-situ recovery, a technique that leaches uranium from underground ore without open-pit or underground excavation. Production began at Beverley in 2000, with Four Mile later developed as a further low-impact extension feeding the same processing plant, and the business has since processed millions of pounds of uranium oxide. It employs several hundred FIFO staff and operates under a long-standing agreement with the Adnyamathanha native title holders of the area.
