Chevron

Chevron is a US-based global oil and gas major that traces its roots to 1879 and relocated its corporate headquarters from San Ramon, California to Houston, Texas in 2024. In Australia, where it has operated for almost 70 years, Chevron runs two major Western Australian LNG developments: the Gorgon Project on Barrow Island, a three-train, 15.6-million-tonne-per-annum facility that shipped its first LNG cargo in 2016, and the Wheatstone Project near Onslow in the Pilbara, a two-train, 8.9-million-tonne-per-annum facility producing since 2017. It also holds a one-sixth stake in the North West Shelf venture and operates Australia's largest onshore oilfield on Barrow Island.
